Transmission oil - LSD

Hi,

I am about to do a transmission oil change on my 2005 R53 Cooper S, however there is a lot of conflicting information out there. I have an OEM LSD that i can hear is groaning. I have heard Redline MTL is the way to go however its not readily available. My question is, is there a better or equal alternative to readline? Motul? Fuchs? Castrol etc?

Hiya,

I went with Castrol Syntrans B 75W (suitable for GS6-85 BG/DG Getrag 6/1), according to the Castrol product finder. I have a 2006 MCS Works with the factory LSD.

Tip: if you never changed the gearbox oil, also order 2 new plugs.
