Hi everyone,

So my R53 Cooper S died on the road the other day and since then I have still not been able to diagnose the problem. It will not start. It cranks but does not fire.

I have checked for codes- nothing shows up.
No warning lights were present, no overheating occurred.

What I have checked:
Fuel pump primes as normal
Fuel filter is clean
Fuel makes it to the fuel rail (uncertain of pressure )

There is spark at the plugs- I grounded the plug
I have replaced the plugs

Thinking it might be a timing issue I removed the valve cover to inspect, everything seemed in order. Chain was still in time.

I compression tested- 1-150+psi 2-100+psi 3-150+psi 4-150+psi

02 sensors read nominal voltages - 0.41Volts

Battery is full, even swapped for a new one

Does anyone have any other ideas ? Or a similar issue ??

Fuel filter housing cracked-low fuel pressure

Glad the problem had been solved and nice to share! Now enjoy driving again.
