Sorry for my absence, since the last time I posted, I know work for MINI as a Sales Executive

So one day this was traded in for a new MINI Convertible, I had to have it!

2005 MINI Cooper S JCW 210 with 54,000 miles on it






It was sold brand new by the dealership I work for.

When it arrived at the dealers, who I happen to work for now it had the following fitted

So off to the paint shop to have the bumper repaired and painted and the bonnet painted.


Got it home and started to clean and replace things

17" Bullets Refurbished, new black wheel nuts and JCW centre caps

You did a good job in clean and repair the MINI . It's a nice MINI, looking good

Rear JCW Badge added. The first owner didn't want any JCW badges on the car. I don't see the point in this!



So, a little bit OCD of me. I managed to source some rear lights that had the clear indicator lense rather than the orange which most Cooper S's and facelift MINI's have. I also got a John Cooper Works dealer sticker when they had their garage in East Preston in Sussex

One advantage of working at MINI is i can get things done at a decent rate
So recently I have had the following done

* Power Steering Pump - Warranty
* Clutch - Was really heavy and not nice to drive
* Oil Service
* Brake Fluid service
* Coolant change
* Air con re-gas
* Vehicle Health Check

JCW leather dashboard and downtubes added this week! Rather nice I think








I also got some bonnet stripes fitted, along with the inserts around the fog lights done in matt black vinyl, just makes the aerokit look a bit better I always think

So its goodbye to mushroomed suspension strut tops!! Ever since I bought the car the steering wheel when driving straight was over to the left. Also had a lot of camber on one wheel which was down to the strut top metal being distorted. Got a GTT brace off here about 8 months ago but the strut tops were so badly distorted the holes didn't line up with the holes on the tops.

Handles superbly. Can corner at stupid speeds now.

I managed to source this from the first owner of my car, the JCW Tuning Kit Certificate and MINISTRY OF OWNERSHIP PASSPORT!! I sold the original owner a MINI Cooper S 5 Door!

I left my car to PMG Autocare in Belfast for a detail. I got a new set of mats from parts as well in prep for getting it back, along with a spare key.

I'm over the moon with how the car looks now, the paint is a lot glossier and wet looking than before.

When I got home I fitted a John Cooper signature decal to the drivers side bonnet stripe as per the WC50 MINI

my MINI being in our showroom for the F56 John Cooper Works launch representing the R53 JCW.

A lot of people have been admiring it, saying that they can't believe it is a 2005 car which has been a massive compliment to me.

I would love the JCW brake set up and perhaps some JCW 95s wheels. We will see, the bullet wheels are nice in my opinion on a 1st gen
