Wat kan een air diverter doen?

beste mini'rs

ik lees hier alles over een air diverter.
maar wat kan dit plaatje allemaal doen of zal kunnen doen aan mijn mini cooper.
de modelen die ze hier bescrheven hebben zijn allemaal cooper S maar heeft dit wel een nut dan bij een cooper?
waar kan ik dat kopen ?en prijs?

Hoi,

Als je deze airdiverters bedoeld:



Die zijn bedoeld om op de compressor van de Cooper S te plaatsen. Daardoor wordt de wint nog beter naar de compressor geleid. Deze zijn helaas niet te monteren op een Cooper, de reden hiervoor is dat deze geen compressor heeft.

En wanneer je deze diverters bedoeld:

maar ik bedoel de gene in het roos.
want ik zou zoiets willen plaatsen maar ik zou graag willen weten wat het kan doen aan mijn wagentje.

Niet heel veel meer dan looks.

Er is een verhaal over dat het de twee lucht inlaten (boven en onder) beter verdeelt zodat er meer wind de radiator door vliegt. Maar dat is niet iets wat je gaat voelen.

Is idd alleen voor de looks heb er zelf ook een en je merkt geen vermogen winst miss wel een iets beter koeling maar niks qua vermogen staat daarin tegen wel heel mooi

Ik denk dat het verhaal wel waar is van betere koeling met een Ida-diverter. Ook je airco zou daarvan profiteren.


Maar effect is net iets meer dan nihil, dus onmerkbaar.
Maar je moet toch wat te poetsen hebben

The first simulation was run as the stock setup, with the area above the smaller radiator open. Upon a quick inspection of the results, several oddities should become readily clear. The first is that there is a section of the radiator where there is no flow (arrow 1)! The air that should flow through that part of the radiator (arrow 2) is following the path of least resistance, flowing up and over the double thick region and through the single region above leaving significant portion of the radiator with no cooling air flowing through it. This will reduce the efficiency of the radiator.

Always thinking, M7 has developed the Air Plate Diverter (APD) to help stop the migration of the cooling air from the lower grille to the upper section of the radiator where it is not needed. The APD separates the two open areas behind the bumper and bonnet, trapping the air. As the simulation shows, with the APD installed, the pressure buildup in the lower opening will force the air to move through the entire double-thick radiator system. There are no more dead spots as there is no longer a path of less resistance for the air to take.
