Hoe haal je spiegelkappen eraf?

Sid en ik gaan onze spiegelkappen ruilen. Hij mijn zwarte en ik zijn chrome!!!

Maar hoe haal je die dingen er nu zonder ze te beschadigen eraf?

Kom maar met de oplossingen!!!!

Al wat gevonden in het engels.

To remove the mirror caps you must first remove the mirror lenses themselves.

the mirrors are a "press fit" on to their swivel (what actually gets moved by the electric motors) so you need to stick your fingers behind as much of the circumference of the glass as you can. Apply PROGRESSIVE GENTLE pressure (if you can get both your hands behind, so much the better) and they will pop off rather easily (if you jerk you will not only break the glass but your skin as well).
Once the mirror glass is out, you will be able to see a series of plastic snaps that hold the cap. Just undo them with fingers or a small blade (again GENTLY) and voila! mirror cap off.
Install is the reverse, carefully does it, the mirror will snap back into place after you have CAREFULLY aligned the snaps of the new cap and GENTLY snapped them into place.

Wij hebben ze ook al een paar keer veranderd, maar je hoeft het spiegelglas er niet af te halen hoor!!

Doen wij ook nooit want daarbij zijn al bij verschillende leden het spiegelglas gebroken.

Op www.mini2.be en dan bij tips en trucs / "vervangen spiegelkapjes" staat een duidelijke beschrijving van hoe je het kan doen.

Als je het 1 keer heb gedaan en je weet hoe de pinnetjes zitten gaat het wel.

Ik heb de mijne verwijdert door de spiegels helemaal naar onderen of naar boven te doen. Dan kun je met een lange schroevendraaier bij die pinnetjes waar die kappen mee vast zitten. En heel klein beetje duwen en dan schieten ze los. Wel uitkijken dat je het niet te hard doet anders breken ze af. Maar dat is wel effe proberen. Eerste spiegel duurde bij mij 25 minuten en de andere 5 minuten. Maar idd het glas hoeft er niet voor uit.
