There have been some posts around this question, especially in NAM.
The fact is that, if on the one side, the heatshield is an extra help for cooling down the turbo (which is attached over the OEM heatshield), on the other hand it may restrain all the heat that is dissipated by the turbo, "cooking" this part as the additional process of the water pump running is quite short, for numerous reasons.
Sice the question has been made to M7, and no aswer till know that i'm aware off, there is nothing like to know from those who are running the pieces.
I'm very interested in this, since i want to run the Gruppe M RAm, and it would be a big help for cooling the hot temperatures felt under the hood.

@FON, I read that topic too. As you can see, the cause of the problem is still unknown. I don't think the problem is caused by the M7 heatshield. I don't have any problems with the M7 heatshield. For me it is more for the show
