Thumper stage2
-Higher flowing larger stainless valves with the under cut stems for even more airflow.
-Ttitanium Retainers and Valve springs for 7500+ revs.
-Custom Bronznaium 90 Guides.
-E 1310,- met inruil van eigen kop.
RMW
-Black nitrided 1.8mm oversized intake valves.
-2.3mm oversized exhaust valves.
-Supertech titanium retainers and beehive springs.
-Intake seats will be replaced with bigger seats to better handle the big valves.
-E 1630,- met inruil van eigen kop.
Beek
I think i have a leak in my R53 '03 head gasket, there is oil in my coolwater and the oil usage is very high.
So i was thinking, when i'm taking the head off, i might aswell upgrade it.
The set-up i'm running is:
-Custom software
-Catcams camshaft
-17% pulley
-Dave.f airbox
-Milltek manifold & sports cat
-Bastuck catback
I'm still in doubt if i should go with the RMW or the Thumper head.
What are the main differences?
Why is your head more expensive?
Can i run your head with my current set-up or do i need more mods?
Is this head still ok for the daily drive to the supermarket?
How much are the shipping costs from and to the Netherlands?
Thanks in advance!
Kind Regards
Our heads are CNC'd which means each head is exactly the same. You cannot do this by hand. Our heads flow better than the others. Our heads have CNC'd chambers so each cylinder volume is exactly the same. This again, cannot be done by hand.
The reason ours is more expensive is: We use better parts, replace the valve seats, we replace the guides, our valve seats are ground by a Serdi Machine (best there is) All our heads come STANDARD with oversized black nitrided valves, 1.8mm larger intake, 2.3mm exhaust. Beehive racing springs with titanium retainers. Single groove keepers will NOT drop valves at high rpm. (these are good to 10,000 rpms) Since the CNC machine cuts the chambers it also relieves the valve area for better flow. There is no better head out there. I guarantee it. Once you put it on your car you will understand what I am talking about. You can see it in the dyno's that our cars make more power on less boost. That shows you the head is more efficient than the others. If you are on our forum there are video's you can watch of customer cars over the Thumper head (driven by thumper himself) to see the massive differences. Our head is $2150 with ALL of these parts as standard , not some cheap price then add it all up and its more expensive than mine and makes less hp. Core charge is $400. I have 7 heads at the CNC shop now and should be ready to ship sometime next week.
silver valves on the left are Inconel valves , these are $150 more
Who tuned your car?
You will need at least 450cc injectors

Let me see if I can answer your questions for you.. cool??
What are the main differences? I do the Ported Head to the application of the driver. This is why I offer 4 different designs. The r50 and the lightly modded r53 , doesnt NEED to have a Hugh runner and Valves for the daily commute, or saturday track outing. ( TPR1) With more mods and the ability to use MORE flow and rpm levels, I increase the port work and bump up the quality of the valves and valve train. Again the need for the largest inst needed (TPR2 ). And finally the driver has a highly modified engine and tracks more than the street, but STILL wants torque and reliability for street and traffic. I do the largest runners and vales size the TPR2r.
I wish to build for the street and aggressive driver, that will hit the track a few times and like the ability to run the county lanes and the city. depending on the application and the desires of the owner, MPG can increase, HP and torque will increase, with out sacrificing the reliability of the cylinder head.
> Why is your head cheaper? My Cylinder Head pricing is more for the average enthusiast that isnt on a 'Racing" budget, and yet wants all the performance he can afford. I do all the wok myself, in my shop. Every Head I have sold is totally made and ported by myself. I dont become a middle man where a different shop will do the work, and I just sell their product to the customer.
> Can i run your head with my current set-up or do i need more mods? The cylinder Head is a key to performance.. it is NOT THE Performance. Good example of going to a full on BIG valve Racing Head and THEN have to build your engine to USE the that head. Again the reason I do 4 types. Get it right the first time. The TPR2 and the TPR2r will support 350-400 HP with ease. ( see attached on Heads)
> Is this head still ok for the daily drive to the supermarket? YES!! No issues there...
> How much are the shipping costs from and to the Netherlands? ( see the attached on Customs) I use the US Post office to ship to you. the cost is $200.00 USD Shipping your core to here, I use these guys in the UK, I am sure there are more of the same type in the Eu, yes?? http://www.parcel2go.com/default.aspx

Keep in mind that any of the Series of Heads I do will support the mods you have now.. and the future mods you are planing. The TPR1 ( with the OEM Valve size ) has seen +58-65 WHP gains with head and tune. The TPR2r has supported 280+ WHP (320 BHP) I will build what ever you want, with the Cat Cam and your current mods.. the TPR2 fits right in the sweet spot for all your current needs.
This would also be a good time to up grade the Intake Manifold. With the increased air flow thru the Head and the exhaust, now the intake is the bottle neck. AND if the rpm levels have been increased to 7200 + there is a need to replace the OEM Balancer with a racing approved Balancer ( fluidGel SFI rated )
Let me know if this is what you were thinking and we can discus this further..cool??
