Als Hein een vent is komt hij 12 Mei met zijn MTH R56 naar de testbank dag om de 235 pk te laten zien. Als Nederlandse vertegenwoordiger van MTH zal hij de file toch al wel hebben?
Dan kan hij Hans zijn geld terug geven en zal hij veel potentiële klanten bereiken als de 235 pk wordt gehaald.

Slecht nieuws voor diegene die MTH hebben of overwegen. MTH heeft hun update beleid gewijzigd. Er is veel over te doen om mini2.com en NAM.
Al vanaf 1 januari dit jaar heeft iedereen die MTH geen recht meer op gratis updates. Dus ook de mensen die nog een jaar update-garantie hadden hebben kennelijk pech. Toen MTH met de files startte kreeg men zelfs een update-garantie voor heel hun Mini-leven. Ook de mensen die onder deze voorwaarden een MTH file hebben gekocht hebben pech.

* As far as I know, NAM was the "official" MTH forum. Seems now that its only a DMH forum, and used for him to slag off other dealers
* It was never advised, as per what seems to be a MTH staffer on NAM, that the free update service was stopping at the start of 2006. In fact, I've done quite a few updates through 2006 with no questions of cost at all.
* I've been through all of my emails with MTH as to the above point, and never was it stated at all in 2005 or 2006 that there were not going to be any more free updates.
* I have an email, dated 12/Jan/2007, stating that as of the start of 2007 MTH will no *longer* be offering free updates. Please note the word I have bolded - they said they will no longer honour them, suggesting that they had prior to this email.
* This "Richie" who seems to be a MTH staffer himself mentioned the free 12 month updates on a post on NAM.
Like I said, I'm as annoyed as the rest of you - but there is honestly nothing that I can do about it, and for that matter, nothing that Don in the USA can do about it either. I don't agree with them changing their update policy retrospectively, and I've made my feelings well known on that to both my customers and MTH themselves, but I'm really stuck in a hard place, there is nothing that I can really do about it. I'd love to be able to absorb the cost myself but realistically I'm a small business, I only ever started doing Mini tuning etc in order to help my fellow Mini guys in Australia, and to be perfectly honest the cost of an update is more than I actually make per tune.
I'm happy to help in any way I can though - as I've told the guys, I'm happy to give any of my existing customers (who have lost their updates) updates at the absolute cost price of them - I know its still not a good result, but its really all I can do at this point.

Lekker Hans! Hein denkt ook, die Van der Goes zal ook wel bij MU rondlopen en dan krijg ik het daar voor me voeten.... Daar zal ie toch echt geen zin in hebben gehad!
