Hi Mark,

I think we just appreciate it when someone form abroad finds our club and makes the effort to post some comments and pics.

When you have any questions or remarks, please post them. Piccies of your car and the mods are always welcome.
If you like, you can show your car in a 'show your ride' topic.

cheers,
Peter

Thanks for the very warm welcome from everyone on NewMINIclub.nl

I totally agree that midgets would be better that midges :D...but to be honest...its only really at one time of the year and in certain places in Scotland that we are bothered with midges. Usually its around our Lochs (Scottish lakes) that one is bothered with midges. It would be no reason not to visit Scotland.

Where I live, between Dundee and Edinburgh...we are never bothered with midges...

I'm a member over on New Mini Scotland (I can't post URL's yet...but just do a search)

I'm sure that you are more than welcome to join there and keep an eye on the Mini runs that are organised. Of course they are mainly in the summer months...but I'm sure if some of you want come over and join a run...that could be organised. Could be a good way to see Scotland, as you would be with like minded people...that is:Mini lovers looking for good roads. I do remember that a Dutch guy joined NMS earlier this year, but I'm unsure if he is a member here. I believe that there's at least one other NMS member on your forums...but he may just lurk...he pointed me in your direction.

Peter...I may do a piece in "show your ride" when the spring comes in...but my winter wheels are on just now...and I'm only washing through the winter months. Its too cold to do anything else

I have been to the Netherlands a few times...and have always found the people very warm to us Scots. I think the Scots and the Dutch have a lot in common. I mean....I know who I support when the Netherlands are playing England at football :D

OK...I'm off to have a look at the gallery on your site. Its nice seeing what everyone has done to their cars.

Cheers!

Hi TBL !!!!

Yes its a small world!...

That is indeed the Queen's View on Loch Tummel...

Next time you visit Scotland...there's a great bit of road called the Duke's Pass.

One of the best bits of road in the country...

Here's a video I found on you tube:

You may have driven this road...if you followed the Trossachs Trail between Aberfoyle and Callender.

All the best for 2008!

Couldn't agree more.

We spent our honymoon in the Highlands and planned all our trips starting from our hotel in Inverness.
Drove around in a Rover 25 rental car, but that didn't spoil the fun we both had in those lovely and impressive surroundings!
