The word 'mini' now has a new meaning
An estate version of the upcoming all-new MINI has been captured on camera by our spy photographers for the first time.
The day has come to show you a six-door MINI that according to our sources is just about the same size as a BMW 3-Series Touring. It's without any doubt the largest MINI ever and as you can see it comes with separated rear boot doors that will open to the side, just like on the Clubman.
Aside from being significantly longer and wider than a regular MINI, this prototype also appears to be taller so it's safe to say it will be the most spacious MINI out there. Judging by the dual exhaust arrangement, we are looking at an "S" version and at the back it has wipers for each window.
The car will allegedly come out in 2015 and should receive either the "Traveller" or "Spacebox" moniker, but MINI could decide to play it safe and simply name it Clubman. It represents one of the eight to ten vehicles planned by BMW for the all-new MINI. One of these derivatives is going to be a five-door hatchback which we showed you earlier today in fresh spy pics.
